Tested Performance: Ryzen 7 7800X3D Benchmarks
We recently put the Ryzen 7 7800X3D through a full suite of benchmark tests, pairing it with an NVIDIA RTX 4070 Ti Super to evaluate real-world performance. In Geekbench, the chip posted 2,624 points in the single-core test and 15,066 points in the multi-core test. In Blender’s Monster scene, it reached 120.93 samples per minute, and a 10-pass 7-Zip compression test (32MB) completed in 47.36 seconds.
These results underscore the CPU’s ability to handle multi-threaded workloads – although it doesn’t quite match the raw throughput of standard “X” Ryzen processors in productivity tasks. However, for gaming, the 7800X3D still excels, offering consistent frame rates and smooth gameplay across titles, even at high settings.
Is the Ryzen 7 7800X3D Still Worth It?
For gamers – casual and competitive alike – the Ryzen 7 7800X3D remains a smart buy in 2025. It’s especially suitable for those who want to game and stream simultaneously, as it offers enough headroom for multitasking without bottlenecking performance. The processor is currently listed at $341, a notable drop from its original MSRP of $449, and not far off its historical low of $320.38, according to Camelcamelcamel price tracking.
With its proven gaming credentials, robust performance metrics, and new lower price point, the Ryzen 7 7800X3D continues to be a strong contender in the crowded CPU market.
