Xikii FF07: a custom ITX case for the ROG Astral

Published:

Do the ROG Astral 5080 and 5090 graphics cards not seem exclusive enough? Too bulky and reserved for oversized configurations? Xikii industry may have the solution with the FF07: a tailor-made ITX case.

XIKII FF07: built around the ROG Astral

Already creator of the Xikii FF04, a bespoke aluminum-alloy case for Asus Proart GPUs, Xikii is back with a vengeance, this time with a model based on the new Astral range. The concept renews the approach of the FF04: a chassis capable of accommodating just one GPU (in this case, the Astral), an ITX motherboard, a unique form factor to showcase the graphics card and a moderate footprint. On the other hand, the new design is a far cry from that of the FF04. And with good reason: the ROG Astral adopts a distinctly different visual language. The Xikii case is intended to serve this design. To this end, it features an open front on the GPU side and dimensions barely exceeding those of the card in width. Literally all you see is the graphics card. But the designer doesn’t stop there. Perhaps the most striking design element of the Astral card is the fourth fan above the board. Xikii takes this component and gives it a rounded ventilation grille (as on the GPU) on the other side of the case. In addition to providing optimum fresh-air intake for the card, this addition places the fourth fan in parallel with the CPU cooler for a devastating look.Xikii FF07Bottleneck are you there?

Let’s talk about the CPU. Although cooler compatibility has yet to be announced, there’s no doubt that users will be limited to low-profile models such as the Idcooling IS-67-XT (recommended for the FF04). It’s hard to cool a CPU worthy of the RTX 5090’s full potential with this type of cooler without making a few concessions.xikii-ff07-un-boitier-itx-sur-mesure-pour-la-rog-astralCompatibility and price

The FF07 will be exclusively compatible with Astral graphics cards, including non-standard models such as the Dhahab edition. Dimensions are undisclosed, but will not exceed those of the graphics card itself. Price is still unknown. The FF04 was priced at $600, so we can expect a similar price range. The FF07 will be available on the Xikii industry website and on Taobao.
